  Comments: Stacy Wolf at Windthorst won her 500th coaching victory as the Trojanettes completed another sweeping week.  Avery swept both opponents last week.  Avery scheduled a tough pre-district losing to the likes of White Oak, Spring Hill and North Lamar.  Evadale won twice beating Sabine Pass and Port Arthur Bob Hope in straight sets.  Sterling City swept Lorraine and Coahoma to improve to 20-7.  Beckville continues to roll although they have a loss at the hands of Lindsay.  Gary opened district play with a sweep of Timpson.  Abbott was 2-0 on the week beating Bynum and Blum in district play.  The top two remained the same as Schulenburg beat Weimar and Louise while Iola swept Grapeland.  Avery went to the White Oak tournament and lost a couple of times to Spring Hill and North Lamar but still look strong heading into district play.

  Comments: Goliad swept Bloomington as Roxanne Morris ripped 16 kills. The Palacios Sharkettes beat Tidehaven, Rice and Danbury to improve to 22-3. Poth won two more times as the Pirettes are rolling into playoff form. Peaster had a great week beating highly regarded Glen Rose in four sets and sweeping Millsap to improve to 22-6. Crawford is 3-0 in district play after sweeping Covington and Valley Mills.  Brock is looking very efficient as the Eagles swept Grandview and Rio Vista by a total score of 150-65 including a 25-2 win over Rio Vista.  Pairs Chisum beat 4A Paris.  East Bernard beat Wallis Brazos 20, 20 and 18.  Shallowater lost twice but both times to 5A teams. Denver City’s record was updated so despite a nice win over Littlefield, they dropped a bit in the polls

  Comments: Susan Brewer of Bellville notched career win number 900 as the Brahmanettes won last Friday over Sealy.  Hargrave continues to play well dropping a tough match to Atascocita but opening district with wins over Liberty, Hardin Jefferson and Livingston. Little Cypress-Mauriceville swept Hamshire Fannett by an aggregate 75-34 to improve to 3-0 in district play. Longview Spring Hill beat always strong White Oak in four sets.  District 12 is shaping up to be a tough one as Bonham, Quinlan Ford and Melissa are all ranked.  Hardin Jefferson swept West Orange Stark to move to 2-0 in district play.  Godley has been playing well and owns a win over Hargrave earlier in the season.  Port Isabel defeated Zapata to improve to 2-0 in district play.  Decatur is a tough team to rank, nine losses and most recently a lost in three to former back to back state champion Coppell, Decatur did sweep a very good Abilene Wylie squad.  Robinson lost to Liberty Hill

  Comments: Kerrville Tivy beat San Marcos and Smithson Valley to remain a match back of Alamo Heights in district play. Tamaira Armstrong ripped ten kills as Bryan Rudder fell to Columbus but got 28 assists form Allison Vaughn in a weep of Willis.  Prosper opened district play with a sweep of Denison as Ashley Brown and Meagan Turner combined for nine service aces.  Hallsville went four to beat Longview.  Hallsville is an impressive 25-1 and has been steady if not spectacular in terms of ball control.  Frisco Centennial went four to beat Liberty.

  Comments:  Lubbock Coronado has won 15 of 16 as they move into a district that contains top ranked Amarillo.  After a 5-7 start, Lubbock Coronado is peaking at the right time.  Cedar Ridge shocked Round Rock McNeil while Hendrickson beat Westwood and Heritage beat Coppell.  Clear Creek swept Brazoswood to improve to 3-0 in district play while New Braunfels won twice.  Alvin lost to Pearland in a wild match McAllen and Rowe continue to be the class of the Valley in volleyball.  Amarillo beat West Texas rival Hereford while Westlake won twice and The Woodlands went four to beat College Park. The Alamo City duo continues to win as O’Connor and Churchill pounded away while Richardson Pearce is back in after beating Berkner.
