Schulenburg’s Dylan Langhamer and Weimar’s Jeremy Maupin
were District 28-2A opponents, but they’re teammates on the Texas Sports
Writers Association’s Class 2A all-state baseball team.
Langhamer, a senior, was selected to the
second team in the outfield and Maupin, a junior, was chosen to the third team
at second base.
Hallettsville senior pitcher Jon DeLaRosa,
senior third baseman Cameron Besetzny and junior
outfielder Tanner Carson and Industrial junior outfielder Jordan Chovanec earned honorable mention.
Langhamer hit .506 with three home runs, two
triples, nine doubles and 18 RBI, while scoring 25 runs. Langhamer
did not commit an error all season.
Maupin hit .429 with four triples, nine doubles and 15 RBI. He
scored 25 runs and had 19 stolen bases.
