FOOTBALL

Tyler McAfee, Calhoun - Rushed for 163 yards on 19 carries, including a 24-yard run, and completed 2 of 6 passes for 39 yards and a 26-yard touchdown in a 17-14 win over Edna.

Brandon Burley, Weimar - Rolled up 176 yards on 15 carries, including touchdowns of 15, 44 and 37 yards in a 48-7 win over Sacred Heart. He also ran in a two-point conversion.

Jesse Pittman, East Bernard - Had six solo tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack in East Bernard's 21-0 loss to Hempstead.

Derrick Wilson, East Bernard - Made eight solo stops, nine assisted tackles and a caused fumble.

Jamial Shelton, Wharton - Snared eight passes for 125 yards, including touchdowns of 57 and 15 yards, tossed a two-point conversion pass, recovered a muffed kickoff and returned a kick 15 yards in a 29-28 loss to Cuero.

Andrew Clements, Louise - Galloped for 150 yards on 25 carries and scored on runs of 10 and 21 yards in a 22-21 loss to Burton.

Jarad Trojacek, Schulenburg - Ran for touchdowns of 1 and 4 yards and tossed a 14-yard TD pass in a 37-34 win over Stockdale. Trojacek rushed for 139 yards on 23 carries and completed 5 of 15 passes for 53 yards.

Corey Blackmon, Bay City - Scored on a 20-yard run and finished with 138 yards on 25 carries in a 35-34 loss to West Orange-Stark.

Cordero Williams, Bay City - Caught five passes for 128 yards and touchdowns of 42, 52 and 10 yards in loss to West Orange-Stark.

Errol Jones, Weimar - Pulled down four receptions for 117 yards and touchdowns of 67 and 7 yards in a win over Sacred Heart. He also kicked four extra points.

Kenneth Smith, Gonzales - Scored on a 9-yard run and picked up 130 yards on 21 carries in a 27-7 win over Elgin.

David Schautteet, Gonzales - Caught three passes for 120 yards, including touchdowns of 56 and 34 yards in a win over Elgin.

Trent Tomanek, El Campo - Ran for 115 yards on 16 carries with touchdown runs of 51 and 4 yards and completed 6 of 12 passes for 120 yards, including a 37-yard TD pass, in a 28-23 loss to Houston Lamar.

Kalvin Corpus, Yorktown - Ran for touchdowns of 5, 9 and 23 yards and finished with 53 yards on seven carries while completing 9 of 19 passes for 146 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown pass, in a 51-6 win over Runge.

VOLLEYBALL

Erin Grantland, Calhoun - Smashed 12 kills and had 12 digs in a District 24-4A win over Rosenberg Terry and has 12 kills, 14 digs and four blocks in a loss to Rosenberg Foster.

Caitlan Nichols, Calhoun - Recorded 24 kills, four aces and seven digs in win over Rosenberg Terry.

Rachel Gregory, Calhoun - Had 11 kills, 11 digs and 11 blocks in win over Rosenberg Terry.

Brooke Broussard, St. Paul - Knocked down 16 kills, two aces, four digs and five points in TAPPS District 10-2A win over Bryan Allen Academy.

Megan Neuvar, Memorial - Collected 20 digs, 12 kills and three aces in a win over Luling.

Kara Simnacher, Memorial - Slammed down 18 kills, 13 digs and four blocks in win over Luling.

Elliott Laferriere, Goliad - Sparked win over St. Joseph with 38 assists, nine digs and four aces.

Jess Morris, Goliad - Made 27 kills, 16 digs and 10 blocks in win over St. Joseph.

Kim Rokyta, St. Joseph - Had 29 digs, 12 points and 10 kills in loss to Goliad and 14 kills and 21 digs in win over Industrial.

Miranda Montes, St. Joseph - Made 17 digs and seven kills in loss to Goliad and 22 digs and seven kills in win over Industrial.

Leah Nitschmann, St. Joseph - Collected 19 assists and 18 digs in win over Industrial.

Brooke Hogge, Industrial - Made 31 assists and 13 digs in loss to Edna and 39 assists, nine digs, 2 blocks and a kill in a loss to St. Joseph.

Frances Wittenburg, Edna - Tallied 22 kills, six digs and eight blocks in win over Industrial and 14 kills, two digs and seven blocks in win over Bloomington.

Katelyn Rohan, Yoakum - Smashed 20 kills, three digs and a block in win over Flatonia.

Lauren Adamek, Yoakum - Made 41 assists, six digs, two kills and five aces in win over Flatonia.

Chantelle Velasquez, Flatonia - Collected 23 assists, a kill and five digs in loss to Yoakum and 22 assists, 10 digs, a kill and an ace in a loss to Columbus.

Brianna Mendel, Schulenburg - Pounded down 18 kills, three aces, a block and 20 digs in a win over Round Top-Carmine and 18 kills, 32 digs, four blocks and three aces in a win over Stockdale.

Jamie Tackett, Schulenburg - Collected 36 assists, 18 digs and three aces in a win over Stockdale.

Taelee Cisneros, Nixon-Smiley - Slammed 19 kills, five blocks and 11 digs in a loss to Stockdale.

Kayla Leal, Nixon-Smiley - Made 29 assists, 12 digs and two kills in a loss to Stockdale.

Lorraine Yates Nixon-Smiley - Had 13 kills and 12 digs in a loss to Stockdale.

Mica Lamprecht, Woodsboro - Ripped 20 kills, four digs and three aces in a win over Corpus Christi Incarnate Word.

Jenna Treybig, Palacios - Made 18 kills, seven points and two blocks in a win over Corpus Christi Miller.

Sara Steinocher, Sacred Heart - Collected 17 kills, 11 assists, seven digs and five aces in a TAPPS District 10-2A win over Bryan Allen Academy.

Lindsey Schindler, Hallettsville - Had 11 kills and 17 blocks in a win over La Grange.

Jillian St. John, Gonzales - Tallied 52 assists, six aces and six digs in a win over Waelder.

Meagan Markert, Cassandra Durst and Christine Aduddell, Refugio - Led Lady Cats to championship in Banquete Tournament. Markert was selected as the MVP while Durst and Aduddell were named to the all-tournament team.

CROSS COUNTRY

Derek Allen, Yoakum - Took first place in the Yoakum Bulldog Invitational with a clocking of 12 minutes, 52 seconds over the 2.8 mile course.

Amy Keefaurer, Calhoun - Claimed the gold medal in the girls division of the Yoakum Bulldog Invitational in 10:15 over the 1.8-mile course.

TENNIS

Colin Hoover and Ernie Lai, Memorial - Won three doubles matches in the Fort Bend Team Tennis Tournament to improve their season record to 4-1. Hoover also won three singles matches to push his record to 8-0.
