SWIMMING

Ryan Mireles, Ryan Hoerig, Justin Marthiljohni, Memorial - Each won two events to lead the Vipers to a win over Kingsville in a dual meet.

Candace Priesmeyer, Kelsie Shannon, Leah Walden, Michelle Curtis, Memorial - Each won an event to spark Lady Vipers to a win Kingsville in a dual meet.

Lauren Howell, St. Joseph - Finished third in 50-yard freestyle in 26.08 seconds, and sixth in the 200 freestyle in 2:13.24 in Lamar Consolidated Invitational.

Megan Umbereger, Shelby Mozisek, Memorial - Each won an event in a San Antonio Quadrangular Meet at the Josh Davis Natorium. Umberger was first in the 200 free in 2:29.04, and Mozisek was first in the 50 free in 27:94, and second in the 100 free in 1:04.27 as the Lady Vipers finished second.

Matt Williams, Memorial - Won the 50 free in 24:42, and second in the 100 free in 55:01 to led the Vipers to third place in a San Antonio Quadrangular Meet at the Josh Davis Natorium.

FOOTBALL

Jo Jo Garza, Beeville - Scored on a 33-yard run, and gained 120 yards on nine carries in a win over San Antonio Southside. He also caught two passes for 51 yards, and caught a 44-yard touchdown pass.

Armondo Moreno, Ronnie Beck, Pettus - Combined for 33 tackles in a loss to Shiner.

Scott Kotara, Karnes City - Dashed for 122 yards on 19 carries with touchdowns on runs of 1 and 8 yards, and one catch for 6 yards in a win over Bloomington.

Austin Wilemon, Aaron Baros, Yoakum - Picked off three passes in a loss to Luling, and Baros returned his interception 60 yards for a touchdown.

Jeremy Petru, St. Paul - Piled up 133 yards on 32 carries with a 5-yard scoring run and returned a pass interception 53 yards for a touchdown in a win over Katy Faith West.

Chad Rehm, Sacred Heart - Scored on an 88-yard kickoff return, a 23-yard pass interception return, a 42-yard pass, and a 59-yard run in a win over Kingwood Northeast Christian. He gained 88 yards on five carries.

Derek Washington, El Campo - Rushed for 248 yards on 23 carries with seven touchdowns in wins over Brazosport and Calhoun. The scoring runs were 4, 15, 27, 22, 14, 41 and 21 yards.

Parris Brown, Hallettsville - Gained 116 yards on 26 carries with a 3-yard scoring run in a loss to Gonzales.

Armando Acevedo, Runge - Got loose for 130 yards on 16 carries with a 1-yard touchdown and competed a pass for 16 yards in a loss to Woodsboro.

Fabian Olguin, Cuero - Picked up 126 yards on 12 carries with a 3-yard touchdown run in a win over Edna.

Kyle Noack, Cuero - Completed 11 of 14 passes with no interceptions for 148 yards, and touchdown passes of 28, 25, 30 and 9 yards in win over Edna. In last two games, he has competed 23 of 27 passes for nine touchdowns.

Brett Harris, Calhoun - Ran 19 times for 136 yards in a loss to Bay City.

Cordero Williams, Bay City - Returned a fumble 18 yards for a touchdown, and picked up 121 yards on just five carries for touchdowns of 53, 14 and 44 yards, and had three catches for 15 yards in a win over Calhoun.

Caleb Urban, Memorial - Ran 13 times for 195 yards with touchdowns of 12 and 78 yards, and completed 3 of 8 passes for 39 yards with touchdown passes of 23 and 3 yards in a win over Corpus Christi Ray.

Seth Michaelis, Memorial - Returned a pass interception 95 yards for a score in a win over Corpus Christi Ray.

Cleat Cooley, Memorial - Gained 100 yards on just 10 carries with a 5-yard touchdown run in a win over Corpus Christi Ray.

VOLLEYBALL

Devonne Michalcik, Mandie Drozd, Lindsey Schindler, Hallettsville - Combined for 29 points, 55 kills, 57 digs, 18 blocks, and 37 assists in win over Needville and Marion.

Lauren Adamek, Yoakum - Had 41 assists, eight points, four aces, three kills, four digs and a block in a win over Palacios.

Jamie Tackett, Brianna Mendel Schulenburg - Keyed wins over Nixon-Smiley and George West. Tackett had 78 assists, and 18 digs while Mendel had 33 kills, 14 digs, eight aces and 14 digs.

Katy Rodriguez, Katie Dugie, Yorktown - Sparked wins over Industrial and Rivera. Rodriguez had 66 assists, three kills, a dig, and an ace while Dugie had 33 kills and five blocks.

Hillary Pustka, Shiner - Blasted 26 kills, 12 points, three aces and four blocks in a win over Flatonia.

Katrina Mica, Brittany Williams, Chantelle Velasquez, Flatonia - Combined for 62 assists, two blocks, six aces, 52 kills, 56 digs in a losses to Shiner and Round Top-Carmine.

Mica Lamprecht, Woodsboro - Smashed 45 kills, two assists, 13 digs, nine blocks and four aces in wins over Faith Academy and Brackett.

Tracey Rosenauer, Renee Grahman, Weimar - Combined for 16 kills, 33 digs, 30 assists, an ace and seven blocks in a win over Three Rivers.

Becca Williamson, Elizabeth Cox, Kelsey Wyant, Faith Academy - Combined for 41 kills, 65 digs, seven blocks, and three aces in a loss to Austin Regents.

CROSS COUNTRY

Leigh Berger, Weimar - Won Class 2A girls division in 12 minutes, 28 seconds in Region IV Meet.

Derek Allen, Yoakum - Finished third in Class 3A boys division in 17:21 in Region IV Meet.

Colton Langridge, Woodsboro - Took third place in 18:30 in the Class 1A boys division in Region IV Meet.
